Overview

Karnataka Common Entrance Test or KCET is a state level examination, which is conducted every year to fill UG Engineering seats in the Colleges/Universities of Karnataka. Through the examination, eligible and deserving candidates are determined for the admissions. The initially determined exam date for KCET 2016, 1 and 2 May, was postponed to 4 and 5 May 2016 when CBSE announced that AIPMT will be held on 1st. The interest of the students was the focus of KEA. Hence, it shifted back the state level exam a bit, to avoid the clash in exam dates

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should be a citizen of India. Engineering Course The core subjects of the candidate in qualifying examination will be Physics, Mathematics and English, along Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects. In the qualifying exam, a candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-I/OBC)
